Pandas animation tricks #16

In this video I talk about Timing and Spacing. I know that this is a little out of the ordinary for me. I have avoided trying to do basic principles based videos up until now but I figured it was worth it just to clear up the confusion that a lot of people seem to have about the topic. I know I talk about spacing a lot in this video but I really beleive it is one of the most powerful tools an animator has to work with. As far as getting better at spacing it is a matter of practice and looking at professional work to get a feeling for what your work should look like. If you guys have any questions feel free to leave a comment and ask.

hi thank u for this nice tutorial... i hope its ok if i share it with other animators (Linking the blog post ofc :D )

understanding spacing has been SUCH a tremendous change in my own animation that i too feel like there is too much emphasis on the timing while poor spacing is left behind...

couple of things i like to mention... the spacing on the feet (and how they fast in) also watching the spacing within the arcs had helped me get some really believable/interesting motion...

i always say... remember the gud old bouncing ball... and u cant go much wrong with the spacing :D
